Spring cleaning time is here! Let’s celebrate this amazing time of year!!

What does spring cleaning mean to you? For me, having grown up in New York, spring cleaning meant opening up all the windows, getting outside and discovering new tree buds, crocuses, daffodils, and tulips popping up through the soil, ready to spring open with vitality, aroma, and freshness. It also meant having to clean out the garage, bedrooms, and the whole house!
For us in Florida, what does spring cleaning mean? Well, we just “sprang forward” with a one-hour time change. Spring is the time for renewal, celebrating Easter and Passover holidays. April is awesome. It’s Earth Day month. Filled with new life, new growth, and new light. It is a time for optimism and action. Let’s get moving and improve our environment, both inside and out.
Here’s my list to help you get motivated with your own spring cleaning plan:
1. Open up the windows and let fresh air in.
2. Open up the curtains, blinds, and drapes and let the sunshine bright.
3. Start with a room you can handle something small, something easy, and find success by beginning to declutter, organize and cleaning that space.
4. For some, it’s the laundry room. For others, it’s the guest bathroom. No matter the room, do CHOOSE and do GET STARTED.
5. Share your before and after pix on facebook.com/APlusClutterClearing.
6. Invite a friend to help! Get some tunes going, dance, clean, and make it a party!
7. Challenge yourself. Thin out your “stuff” and donate things that no longer serve you.
8. Once you’ve cleared and cleaned, why not bring in something new and fresh? Window treatments, new linens, fun stuff. Make spring cleaning work for you with rewards.
9. Keep tossing out garbage, keep rooms clear of piles, and keep clutter from accumulating.
10. Have the best spring cleaning time you’ve ever had!
At A+ Clutter Clearing, we wish you clarity in your home, your heart and your mind. Strive for organizing one room and one space at a time. Get that handled, refine the process, and celebrate your success. Then move onto the next room.
Until next month, remember, Clear the Clutter… Clear the Mind™
