When you think about it, we spend on average more time in our bedrooms – usually in bed, than any other room in our homes.
So let’s be deliberate with the bedroom design, what we intentionally have in this room, and how we handle clutter clearing with a feng shui flair.
No matter the size or configuration, these following ideals hold true for your bedroom.
- Bedrooms are our sanctuaries, a place of rest and rejuvenation
- Bedrooms are a place to share intimacy, romance and love
- Bedrooms are a place to feel snuggly safe and warm
- Bedrooms are a place for serenity
Bedrooms are NOT and should NOT be used as:
- Desk and study alternatives
- An electronics charging station zone (and we know who we are!)
- A library of books (one or two on a nightstand is fine, but not a bookshelf
- A storage area under the bed for flat artwork and other hidden treasures
- A laundry depository (sure to fold and put away, but not overnight
- A place for high brain activity
Our bedrooms must be treated with utmost care and consideration. Consider the placement of clothing in the closet, dirty clothes on that chair, mirrors facing the bed occupants (bad feng shui), bathroom seat covers up versus down (again feng shui principled).
Considering we spend nearly half our lives in our bedrooms, it is important to good health, good sleep, good hygiene and a good sense of well-being to have your bedroom maximized for beneficial rest and relaxation.
At A+ Clutter Clearing, we specialize in every room in the home, office and storage locker, and place premium attention on your bedroom, the closets and bathrooms adjoining, and advise you to do the same.
