Moving can be a terrible ordeal so here are some tips to make it easier and less stressful.

A+ Clutter Clearing Successful Move Checklist 

5 – 8 weeks before

1. Declutter & downsize room by room. What do you really want to bring into your new home?
2. Donate or sell unwanted items
3. Select a licensed & insured moving company
4. Use up food and cleaning supplies

2 – 3 weeks before

1. Continue to declutter & downsize
2. Collect important papers & valuables in one area
3. Pack using strong cartons & label them with room location & contents
4. Submit change of address forms
5. Schedule utility & cable disconnections

Day of the Move

1. Pack all valuables, important papers, phone chargers, TV remotes &     medicines separately to transport in your own car
2. Have cash for tips and incidentals
3. Pack up remaining refrigerator & pantry items
4. Bring basic cleaning supplies
5. Leave a broom behind to sweep up after the move
6. Walk through to check for any left-over items
